Last night’s snowstorm reminds me of film I shot after a snow last March. A junco gratefully eats the seed my husband has spread outside. The cat, Molly Ivins, watches, fascinated and frustrated, while the bird blithely munches away. You will have to watch to find out whether Molly keeps her cool or butts her nose on the door. I wouldn’t want to be at the other end of that concentration–not without a pane of glass between us. A housecat is a tiger that eats from your hand.

I’m glad you enjoyed the cute bird and my cat’s frustration. No, rushgideon, I’m no expert on wildlife … but by filming it for three years now, I have been learning. My favorite films are both recent: Green Herons Feeding Fledglings on the Shore and Dragonflies Risk Becoming Prey While Mating. Thanks for watching and commenting.
